Hammer Crusher – How to Improve Its Lifetime
Hammer crusher is referred to as hammer crusher. It is a key equipment for crushing limestone, coal, slag, slag, coke, chalk, alum, coal gangue and other materials with compressive strength less than or equal to 150MPa. It is used in cement, power generation, chemical industry, building materials, construction, It is widely used in environmental protection and other industries.
Hammer crusher has a short service life and multi-finger hammer head life. Hammer head, rotor, and grate mill are three wearing parts. Hammer crusher mainly uses impact, shearing, tearing and other methods to complete large blocks. In the crushing process of small objects, iron-on-stone and stone-on-stone crushing will seriously wear the broken parts. If the hammer head is of inferior material, the lifespan will be shorter.
The normal life cycle of the blow hammer is about 4-6 months. If the material is too hard or it cannot be used for two weeks It will be scrapped, and even the cycle is shorter. The life of the castor and rotor is slightly longer than that of the hammer. Therefore, it is analyzed that the wear of the hammer head is mainly caused by impact and friction in the material crushing stage. If you know the specific reasons, you can take measures to prevent it. The main protective measures are It starts from three aspects: preparation before starting, operation during operation, and maintenance after shutdown.
First, preparation before starting
(1) Ensure the goodness of the machine, such as whether the hammer liner is damaged, whether the bolt parts are loose, whether the connection between the components is good, etc., and if the loose parts are found, tighten them in time.
(2) Whether there is a lack of lubricant in the running part of the machine, if oil leakage or less oil is found, add and repair it in time.
(3) Before the operation of the crushing equipment, it is necessary to ensure that there are no non-crushing materials such as iron blocks in the crushing cavity, and keep the crushing cavity clean.
Second, the operation precautions when the job is running
(1) The selection of materials should be within the scope of application of the hammer crusher. If the hardness is too high, the wear of the hammer head will be accelerated.
(2) Small machines can be manually fed, and large hammers need to be evenly fed by the feeder.
(3) Before the equipment is put into production. It is necessary to test the operation of the machine to ensure whether each component can operate normally.
(4) If abnormal noise is heard during crushing, such as knocking sound, metal impact sound, etc.. It is necessary to stop the machine to check the condition in the cavity. And then resume production after troubleshooting.
(5) The size of the raw material block is controlled within the required range of the feed port of the hammer crusher.
(6) The feeding amount should not exceed the large processing capacity of the crushing equipment, otherwise it will cause load operation and damage the machine parts.
(7) The machine operation time is arranged reasonably to avoid long-term overwork.
(8) If the temperature is too high during crushing, stop the machine to check the temperature reason, especially the high temperature of the bearing part is less than 70℃.
Third, maintenance after shutdown
(1) After the machine is shut down, check the crusher. Whether the parts are good, whether there is any missing or damaged, etc.
(2) Pay attention to cleaning the job site, especially the precision parts such as bearings, clean the internal dirt, and add lubricant to the parts that need to be lubricated.
(3) If you need to replace the consumable parts such as the hammer head. Do not hit it directly with a hammer tool to prevent damage during the loading and unloading process. In addition, if a section of the bearings at both ends of the rotor is damaged. You need to replace both ends or replace the damaged end after thorough cleaning. Don’t be careless for a momentary saving.
(4) Spare wearing parts and other accessories should be stored in a dry and clean location. And attention should be paid to applying oil and rust inhibitor on the surface to prevent rust.
The above is the introduction on how to improve the service life of the hammer crusher.
